Nonfiction Book Club

Nonfiction Book Club In-Person

This book club reads nonfiction books under 300 pages (sometimes less!) related to the world today and how it got there. Some topics will be more social science and others more technical. The most important part is that the discussions and book selections are patron-driven. Every time you participate, you will have a chance to influence what the next topic will be and where the discussion goes.

In May we will discuss Bradley Hart's "Hitler's American Friends: The Third Reich's Supporters in the United States" (Thomas Dunne Books, 2018). I have ordered several copies and the books will be available at HMPL on the BOOK CLUB SHELF next to the circulation desk.

If you don't have time to read the entire book or for additional information, see this review by Roger Abrams, from the New York Journal of Books, October 2, 2018.

We look forward to having you join this dynamic program!
